It's a Bird...It's a Plane...No Wait it Really is a Bird! A Redbird!

As of tonight, the crown jewel of the the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals, are 11-4. The offense is prolific, the hustle is epic, the starting pitching is surgically precise. When a few pitchers come off the DL in the next couple months, we could sell another team an entire rotation. Maybe the Marlins or the Rangers are interested? They get Wellemeyer, Reyes, Thompson, Pinero and Clement. We will keep Wainwright, Carpenter, Mulder, Lohse and Looper. Just thought you guys might like to see what is (hopefully) a preview of things to come when Young Hombre (Pujols), Young Tobacco Chewer (Chris Duncan), and Young Roy Hobbs (Rick Ankiel) come to town this year.

P.S. The cub must have tried to use Sammy Sosa's old bat. If you look closely, you can see the cork inside.

Fredbird resembles a schwasted Tony LaRussa in a bar fight on Kirkwood.

This is worse than Young Swole posting about Knowshon. At least the hype for him isn't far fetched and is REAL.

Gag me with a spoon. Let me know when Pujols' shoulder rips out of its socket.

Well that too then.

Please. He is a fine Christian man as well as a true humanitarian and ambassador for the game.
